MS absorp Indonesian Task Force into its hive
Kopassus (Komando Pasukan Khusus/Special Task Force Command), Indonesia's army infamous task force (infamous for being Soeharto's pet task force) has just recently "embrace heartily" Microsoft's Windows Server 2008 and will be given full support from Microsoft. We, Indonesian's middle class who understands that Microsoft's usage equals inviting malevolent attacks can only laugh our hearts out. So here it is, Indonesia's most elite task force (simply because Soeharto was its leader), give its database to Microsoft, the most stealthy software giant ever, and risking opening Indonesia's military secret to the United States. Not that Indonesia's military secret has been kept safe from United States anyway, there are simply more US agents in the military than loyal soldiers. The database centric application will do "profiling service" to optimise Kopassus efforts to find "the right man for the right job". The system will "engineer" personnel training, scoring, and logistics. Looks like systematic "personnel-based threat recognizing system" to many of Indonesian IT conspirator-lovers. Microsoft had also made website (imagine that, Microsoft making website? har har har...) for the Indonesian Navy and war simulation system (wow....) for the Indonesian Airforce. Nothing safe from Microsoft, it seems. |
