Vain Deaths: Soccer Fan and Indie Maniacs

Wild and unruly, devoid of logics, and thus, prone to fatal accidents.

That was what happened to 9 underground metal fans who attended a wild and energetic concert taking place on a closed hall. They go wild, they jumped around, they exhausted the oxigen supply on a room containing more than a thousand of equally energetic and oxygen sucking wild young things. It would not be fatal if the said room is a specially designed concert hall, but the deadly chamber was a rundown cinema converted into makeshift concert hall, and with capacity of only....500 people.

And adding to the recipe of death are the fact that the dead chamber only have one room, the chaotic deliquents were smoking, and some of them were intoxicated.

Thus, 9 lives were taken vainly that night.

On another part of Java, Indonesia, another live was taken vainly. This time the young soul was a part of the local hooligans caught in post-match riots. His life ended after he suffered traumas to his physiques. His young energy was not fully exhausted after more than 90 minutes of yelling, shouting, choring, and jumping around in the stadium. He still need to wear out the effects of adrenaline intoxicating his blood. Indeed, perhaps the hormone was further enhanced by nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol. So when he saw insignias, logos, emblems, and colors that were not of his "soccer tribe", he and his friends went berserk and attacked.

And his life was snuffed out. Energy wasted, and potencies dumped out, meaningless and never to be returned.

Vain deaths. They are everywhere. Sometimes we take them for granted. Realize, that for each death we take for granted, our collective sensitivity will be dulled furthermore
